Draft Bridge

Experiment 3 Mash Up

Conditions in our society have changed decisively during recent decades, which is the result of the dawn of the information age. The architecture industry has failed to make society at large aware of the case for higher order spatial thinking. The cultural project of architecture: to give people the opportunity to experience the incredible landscape in a way that would provide a cerebral connection to our changing natural environment makes innovative thinking and creative linkages between people and ideas to better our built environment through designing in pursuit of pure beauty whilst being mindful of architecture as the utile art.

Project Two

Final Lumion Images

The two monuments face each other across a river connected by a bridge which both physically and symbolically connect the buildings thus demonstrating the electroliquid aggregation of the concepts of Wren and Nouvel.

The square shaped Wren monument utilises the mathematical concept of the Golden Ratio where the division of lengths within the structure equals pi. The measurements with in this structure reflect this principle.

The Nouvel monument follows the contours of the landscape and further reflects the lay of the land through the elevated portion creating a window in which to view the natural environment from. the curved organic form accentuates the monuments harmony with landscape.

Electroliquid Aggregation

Combination of Wren and Nouvel's ideas:

Architecture design harmonizing with the environment through the use of mathematical and scientific concepts.
